2015 Collegiate Football Officials Spring Clinic
May 15th & 16th
Wright State University
The Ohio Association of Football Officials would like to extend an invitation for you to join us for the 2015 football officiating clinic to be held at Wright State University. Getting better at officiating is a process. It’s staying in the rule book, watching video whenever possible, and learning from your peers and their experiences that can set apart the person who is trying to become a collegiate football official from the person who is excelling at their dream to become the best official they can on whatever stage they are asked to perform.
Every year we strive to provide more speakers, better content through the use of video and technology, and breakout sessions that are relevant to all officials no matter the experience level. We are pleased to announce that we feel we have met our goal and hope that you will join us to learn from the many clinicians we will have on hand.
Who’s going to be there?
Invitations have been extended to the following notable officials to attend the clinic and act as guest speakers and clinicians. It is important to note that this is just the start, as we schedule more clinicians they will be announced on the OAFO Clinic website:

Bob Waggoner, NFL Official and Assistant Coordinator of Officials for the COC

Notable breakout sessions:
· NEW! Instant Replay breakout session. Instant Replay Officials from both the NFL and NCAA ranks will be on hand to conduct a breakout session specifically around Instant Replay.
· NEW! Breaking into College Football. Current Division III supervisors as well as officials who have either made it to the grandest stages or who are in the process of moving up will give advice, help you make connections, and generally explain what it takes to get noticed.
Breakouts by positions: Referee, Umpire/Center Judge (NEW!), Line of Scrimmage and Down Field officials will all be led by current supervisors, trainers, and working officials.
This clinic this year is jam packed with great clinicians, awesome technology, and very informative content. But that’s not all. The event has some wonderful “perks” for those in attendance.
Are there any perks?
Honig’s will be onsite to answer any questions and will have officiating apparel on hand for purchase. To sweetin’ the deal, the OAFO will be giving each paid participant to the clinic a $xx gift certificate toward your Honig’s purchase!! Honig's Website link
Attendees will also receive a pair of scrimmage shorts just in time for the summer/fall scrimmages that will begin to take place.
Where is it going to be held?
The most awesome thing about this year is the location… Wright State University will be the site of this year’s clinic. With plenty of parking, large spacious climate controlled rooms, state of the art presentation equipment, and spectacular food, the venue for the clinic is an ideal environment. We’ve also increased the times allotted for networking with other officials so that you have plenty of chances to catch up with your colleagues and talk with supervisors of a particular conference you are trying to break into.
We have reserved a very nice location for your overnight stay. To see the location, please visit: Hotel website information link here.
