OAFO members have the opportunity to help grow their organization by identifying and sponsoring one or more H.S. official(s) from their area. Sponsoring OAFO members can earn a $15 discount off their clinic fees. Sponsored candidates receive a price break as well. This offer is only good until April 1, 2014. We have a special rate for OAFO life members as well. Please refer to the Clinic Registration form. The clinic fee does include dinner Friday night, Continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
The clinic will begin on Friday afternoon with introductions at 2:30 PM. There will be two sessions that day with a dinner break.
The clinic is divided into three stages. Officials will first attend a general session with those aspiring to enter college officiating meeting with the Division III supervisors, and established “on staff officials” meeting with the Division I and Division II supervisor.
Following that will be smaller breakout sessions utilizing game film and TV tapes for teaching purposes. These sessions will concentrate on collegiate mechanics as they relate to 7-man officiating crews: Line of scrimmage officials (LJ and HL), deep officials (FJ, SJ, BJ), Umpires and Referees (R, U).
Saturday will continue with a general session and classroom breakout position meetings.
Your clinicians will include officials who are affiliated with college conferences and collegiate officials from Ohio with experience in Division 1 football. They will be current on field officials from the Big Ten Conference (B1G), Mid- American Conference (MAC), Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) and the All American Conference (AAC). The staff will strive to deliver the best clinic experience possible.
